They told us it was coming.....

They have been warning us for days

And here in Michigan... snow is not usually too big a deal....
We are used to it.  I think last year we had well over 100 in.

But they are saying this is the biggest snowstorm since the 70's....
We had 17" from midnight til 6 this morning.... & it is still coming...

Everything is closed today.... the TV shows 1000's of closings...
They are not showing the Today show.... only local weather... AGH!!
The snow plow got stuck in the driveway early this morning.....

I am not getting out... no one is getting in.........

Guess I will work on more of these................

Or get back to work on these & finally get them finished.....

                                                          Stay warm all............

  6. You have a tone of snow, Kathy...literally!;>) We did not get hit as hard here in Northern WI as we thought we were going to. I didn't even get a "snow day". Stay inside where it is safe and warm...and pray that you don't lose power. Hugs-Diana

  7. Stay warm! My girlfriend in Chicago can't even get her front door open -- she managed to forced it enough to let the dogs out to tinkle, but that's it, and the back door has drifts much higher! Definitely a good day to stay in and work with wool :)

  8. Kathy, you sure got the worse of it for sure. We have an ice skating rink, but can move about. I remember the snow storms in the 70's and it looked like that. We lived an hour from Lake Erie in Ohio at the time and we had 15 foot drifts. Took a V-plow to do the driveway.
Stay in and stay warm. It has to melt sometime.

  11. Perhaps you would like the poem I posted today on my blog called "Snow". Being in SW Ontario, right on the shore of Lake Erie, we too are accustomed to snow. It gets OLD real quick!
