They told us it was coming.....

They have been warning us for days

And here in Michigan... snow is not usually too big a deal....
We are used to it.  I think last year we had well over 100 in.
But they are saying this is the biggest snowstorm since the 70's....
We had 17" from midnight til 6 this morning.... & it is still coming...
Everything is closed today.... the TV shows 1000's of closings...
They are not showing the Today show.... only local weather... AGH!!
The snow plow got stuck in the driveway early this morning.....

I am not getting out... no one is getting in.........

Guess I will work on more of these................

Or get back to work on these & finally get them finished.....

                                                          Stay warm all............

  1. Oh my stars and heavens, 17 inches in 6 hours?! I could never live in Michigan. Don't hate me, but I REALLY want some of those mittens!

  2. I loveee the chair and the mittens are adorable! I thought we have alot of snow but you take the cake!

  3. I'm sorry, that is all about I can say Kathy:( Stay safe and warm and blog away! X0

  4. whoa! that's a LOT of snow! I hope you dig out soon, cause I know it's not going to melt any time soon. :(
At least you have some things to keep you busy.
You left a comment about my decluttering. It is happening, slowly but surely. Because I subscribe to my comments, they land in my inbox. I was unable to reply via email because you are a "no-reply" blogger, meaning you don't have an email attached to your blogger profile.
Thanks for the HD vote! I appreciate it very much!

  5. I can't believe all ths snow! This is why I live in Georgia! I could not handle this!
Kathy, My dad was also given a pool table. Same memories are with me! Keep an eye on E-bay for some pool balls. There have been some really good deals lately.

  6. You have a tone of snow, Kathy...literally!;>) We did not get hit as hard here in Northern WI as we thought we were going to. I didn't even get a "snow day". Stay inside where it is safe and warm...and pray that you don't lose power. Hugs-Diana

  7. Stay warm! My girlfriend in Chicago can't even get her front door open -- she managed to forced it enough to let the dogs out to tinkle, but that's it, and the back door has drifts much higher! Definitely a good day to stay in and work with wool :)

  8. Kathy, you sure got the worse of it for sure. We have an ice skating rink, but can move about. I remember the snow storms in the 70's and it looked like that. We lived an hour from Lake Erie in Ohio at the time and we had 15 foot drifts. Took a V-plow to do the driveway.
Stay in and stay warm. It has to melt sometime.
    Hugs- Tete

  9. Oh my, what lot of snow you have. Can't imagine.
Ma Nature decided I griped enuf yesterday, so she gave us another dose today.
I needed to go help my kid get ready for a baby shower tomoorrow...I don't know..
I'm getting cabin fever so bad, can't even get outta the driveway. I love, really love your mittens. I wish I had something like that to do to supplement the old Social Security...
oh well, have a beautiful day...even tho it is a white one.

  10. Wasn't that storm a blast? I love all this snow! Mr. Lakehouse has run out of places to push the snow tho. Still cold up here, but lovin' it.

  11. Perhaps you would like the poem I posted today on my blog called "Snow". Being in SW Ontario, right on the shore of Lake Erie, we too are accustomed to snow. It gets OLD real quick!

May Christ Guide you through the Storm
