LOVE to Create...

I Love to create... Love DIY....
               I love texture & color...

There are few things I like better than
to see a piece of fabric & know exactly what
                    I will do with it.

I love to repurpose a piece of furniture...
There are SOooo, so many projects in my head

So being the bad blogger that I am,
I keep waiting for something to dazzle you with...

But.... this is what I have been up to

                    Does anybody care??   : )
                     Nothing fabulous....
Just stuff that needs to be done at the Cottage
                     to make it liveable

                   A four day weekend....
1 coat of primer, 3 coats of paint
                       Doors are done....
Another coat of paint in a bedroom...
Filled in a MILLION nail holes & a final coat
of paint on the crown molding

While the guys did a LOT of this..

                    To catch some of these...

(well, this one got thrown back.... out
of season & not very tasty, I am told :)

                    So doors are done.....
                Another bedroom D.O.N.E.

The plastic is now removed & they look great
I was just TOO pooped to take the pic..... :)

  1. I'm glad you are getting a lot of projects done, Kathy. It seems that this is the time of year when most of us are working away indoors {not like those lucky guys that get to be outside fishing!}

The doors look fantastic so far...we have to see them without the tape! I'd love to have French doors somewhere in my house!

    Have a great week!

    XO,
    Jane

  2. Looks like you have been REALLY busy, Kathy! Just think, by summer, it will be all finished, and you will be outside with the guys, enjoying the sunshine. The doors look great!
    Won't be long now.

  3. Oh ~you are getting a lot done, Kathy! It will be all ready for you in Spring...and done by the time Summer is over (or before). Isn't that the way it always is? The women cook and paint and the guys play and fish- at least in Wisconsin! xo Diana

  6. Okay, seriously? I think you have had enough time to write a new post. :D I keep thinking I am missing something but I stop by and nope, we are still stuck in February. :D

As for getting my posts if you hit the subscribe button at the top of my blog a screen will open up with all kinds of options. The easiest is probably email. It is a multiple step deal so you have to be sure that you do the I'm not a robot thing and when you get an email confirming your subscription then you have to click on that link to verify the subscription. You can also add BeColorful to your reader or follow through Facebook or Networked blogs. I have a couple of people that have had trouble. I don't know if it is a Typepad thing or they aren't completing the process.

Have a great week. So glad you stopped by.

  13. I had to come over and tell you that I got a good chuckle from your comment because my husband used to get told that he looks like Tom Hanks ALL the time when he was younger, but it hasn't happened for a while. So I was amazed when you said it! You have a good eye. :)

  15. Hi Kathy! I'm so glad you came by my blog! Thanks so much for you comment on my chairs..I love how they turned out! The pegboard idea came out of sheer laziness...who wants to figure out where to drill a hole?! lol I split the foam because I saw it on a tutorial...it said you needed somewhere for the fabric to go when you wrap it around the back of the chair. After I did it, I figured i could have just folded the fabric under like the diamond tufting, but it did work really well, so I guess it was ok. :)
I love your french doors! I have a pair that lead out to our backyard, but I've always wanted some inside too...that's a project for another day. I have the french doors....I thought I might incorporate them into our wide dining room opening one day. :)
    Have a great week!

  19. I don't think there is much prettier than white french doors. I talked about painting ours black but in my heart I knew I couldn't do it. Thanks for your glowing words on my Charisma family room. :D I wanted to have the dining room painted while Mike was in Jacksonville last week. We girls just think alike. :D Keep blogging. I love reading what you are up to.
