My very 1st E.V.E.R.

My 1st attempt at blogging
( & trust me I am taking comfort in knowing that absolutely no one will look at this, as I try & figure out the "how-to's" of posting : )

And then, since SOoooo many of the blogs I look at are "Before & Afters", I thought that I would start with one I did recently.

A friend asked if I could/would re-do her chair. She bought this Diamond in the rough at a garage sale for $5.00. It came with a maple finish, she "sort of stripped" it, painted it black & this is how it came to me.

I did not take any pics of the process, but here are a few of the afters...

She is a brand New Grandma & wanted a comfy chair to rock her precious one.

Don't you just LOVE the fabric she chose?? ( I had scraps of the small black stripe in my stash )

She tells me that when she got it home, she sanded it up a bit
Just to make it a little more "shabby" : )

I almost didn't let it go, it was SO cute! But it belongs in her home, ( I have no grandbabies, YET!! ) & goes perfectly with her newly re-decorated room.

SOooo.... She called & asked if there was enough fabric to cover a small footstool, I will post when that is finished.
