These sweet boys are 1 today. Aren't they the most adorable?
The one on the left is Alex, the one on the right, Ian.
Thier mother is my little cousin, who is really like my sister.
Kim, had a few miscarriages & then a still born baby boy, Troy. And then after much doctoring, it did not look good for getting pregnant again. Then after some special, expensive procedures.... she was told "Twins" BUT one will most likely not survive....
BUT God is SO good & she carried them all the way to term.
We celebrated them this weekend.... I made them something I had seen out there in Blogland....
A Travel High Chair
I figured they will get a LOT of toys.... & heck they are 1, they don't know.... I'll do something for Mom....
She LOVES them.
Not a 4 pt. safety high Chair, but they will work. And instead of carting in 2 high chairs wherever they go.... these will do in a pinch.
She said, "All the wiggling & they stayed put.
Aren't these boys just the cutest? Love them to pieces!!
Well, fall is coming to Michigan.... A tree in the backyard is starting to turn...
A pumpkin field that we pass on the drive home from up north.
There are miles & miles of pumpkins near our place up north. I love to take the back roads on the way home this time of year just to see all that orange.
I haven't posted in more than a month, busy, busy. I started a new job, quit same job. Went on 2 trips, spent every weekend up north, getting things ready for deer hunting, well hubby & sons did... I hung new curtains, that I made, hung some new shelving, re-arranged furniture, had new cable TV installed + a new big screen.....( can't deer hunt & not have good TV for football )
Anyways, as we get ready for fall, we pulled out some bushes, planted some mums, added a new bench & I am sadly putting away the geraniums
So before I put it all away, I thought that I would show you something I did earlier this summer.
I took these thrift store finds... 2 candlesticks 1.00 each & this bowl thingie, also $1.00
And made a little Garden art........
A 50 cent plate & then when I thought it lacked something, I added a thrift store flower pot that someone had embellished 30 cents : )
And some Gorilla Glue, my new favorite tool
It looked pretty cute near the back door.......
And recently I bought this at Goodwill for $3.00, an ugly lamp that will be something for the yard next summer.
Can't you just see it with a great finial on top, or a gazing ball.....
Next summer...............Sigh...........
